Unit description: F1 is a fish hook made of boar's tusk. A medium-sized unit, with a low to moderate amount of burning, and variable weathering. Mostly sheep/goat sized animals, but some cow/equids as well. Both gnawing and digestion. Fairly even element distribution, despite the presence of three astragali. One bird bone fragment was present. Sample 1 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely. Moderate-size sample with range of fragment sizes up to ca. 6 cm. Mostly sheep-size, but a certain amount of large mammal. Quite a lot of burning, high and low temperatures. A little digestion, little weathering, only some seem rolled/trampled. Some diagnostics, fairly even body part distribution for small sample size. Looks like small amount of daily post-consumption discard, but not from single event.
