Unit 30273
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: Floor makeup
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: dark grey clay; Deposition: single; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: This unit represents the makeup of floor f. 7153. The plaster on top of it was too partial and patchy for us to remove it as a separate unit. This unit was extremely uneven over the bottom of building 120, which may be related to how little effort seems to have been put into making the floor flat and even after terracing cut [30229] was made. At its base, a layer of plaster again seems to have been applied to the original Neolithic layer, perhaps as an original floor or alternatively in an attempt to initially flatten the surface. This unit was excavated by pick and shovel due to its compaction.
