Discussion: The packing deposit U.32761 had been recognized as a thick layer of mixed materials mostly comprised of the bricks and mortar with occasional inclusions of plaster fragments that were recognized in varied state of fragmentation and concentration. The accumulation of the described deposit had been conducted deliberately in order to level the surface and prepare it for further occupation. It seems that after gaining the desired altitude the walls of B.132 (Sp.633) had been set on the densely packed layer 32761. The described deposit had been accumulated on the top of the surface of use U.23616 which was related probably with the open/external Space 630.
The actual extent of the packing deposit U.32761 had not been determined due to the scope of the previously established trench which covered only the area restricted by the structure of building 132. It is clear however that the layer went beyond the mentioned Mud-brick construction. Worth noticing is that the open space after accumulation of the deposit and probably after erection of the walls before laying down the floors (U.23623 / U.32090) had been truncated by 3 burials (F.8345, F.8346, F.8348) located in the Northern and Western segment of the room. All of the sepulchral features might be regarded as foundation burials performed before dwelling the house.
It seems that the reused, mixed building material that composed the packing layer was employed by especial design to maintain the solid base for further settling the interior, as well as to strengthen the lower part of the walls in their vertical positions.
Noteworthy is also that within the lower stratum of the deposit there was recognized different concentration of the components which was signified by higher proportion of the plaster fragments in particular in the SE part of the unit. Furthermore, within the middle part of the room just above the floor layer (U.23616) there was identified assemblage of an ashy layer up to 3 cm thickness. The latter had been recorded by three additional samples that were collected as follows: S.3 – archive, S.4 and S.5 – flotation. The intention of the collection was to better understand and conceive the character of the deposition of the ash.
Furthermore, within the SE segment of the layer there had been recognized deposit of massive silty-clay which sat on the surface 23616. The evidently different composition of the sediment had been recorded by collecting the flotation sample (S.6) due to within the deposit there were number of charcoals identified.
