Discussion: This is a lighter coloured layer underneath (3344). During the excavation it was understood that the layer sloped down. The ridge that came out during the excavation of (3344 dissapeared during the excavation of (3379), just leaving a very thin wall on the NE part of the space. This layer actaully joined with (3343) so this deposit is a small deposit within the layer of that has a lighter colour and was most probably formed during the formation of (3343).

Recognition: Recognised by a ridge and change of colour while excavating unit (3344).
Definition: Layer within the E part of space 160.
Execution: Trowel.
Condition: Moderately moist - fine.
Consistency: firm
Colour: 10 YR 6/4 light yellowish brown
Texture: clay loam
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: <2% charcoal, <2% salts, both very small fragments (c. 2mm)
Post-depositional Features: some fine roots, animal activity
Basal Boundary: sharp and smooth, sloping from E to W downward towards (3343)
