Dimensions: 0.8 m N-S x 1.7 m E-W; c. 6 cm thick 

Discussion: During the excavation of this unit, a wall was located on the E part of of the trench. On the middle part of the unit there was a concentration of charcoal but it was not given to any oven or hearth feature because no other association with this kind of feature was found.

Recognition: Arbitrary layer underneath arbitrary layer (3620). 

Definition: An arbitrary layer in space 160, it has the qualities of an infill deposit. Defined by wall in the S, N and E, W. 

Execution: Trowel and handpick. 

Condition: Moist. 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: 10 YR 5/4 yellowish brown 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: 10% flecks, fragments, chunks of charcoal; c.2% fragments of brick aggregates; c.2% fragments of clay; quite a lot of bone 

Post-depositional Features: none apparent 

Basal Boundary: arbitrary
