Dimensions: 2m (E-W) x 1.79m (N-S) x 0.12m thick
Discussion: Area of floor layers covering central area of Space 173. Mostly consisting of various plaster-rich layers though some contained ashy deposits, particularly towards the south. Floors lapped up against a small platform to the west, a ridge of infill to the north and overlay more floor layers through which features were cut, which are sealed by (4912).
Recognition: Large area of distinct pale layers
Definition: Clearly bounded by darker layers to the north and south
Execution: Trowel and mattock from edges
Condition: Slightly moist, firm and possibly truncated
Consistency: Firm
Colour: Pale beige, brown and grey
Texture: Silty clay
Bedding: Compound layered
Inclusions: <5% medium clay ball fragments, <2% charcoal flecks, small shell fragments, small bone fragments, medium stone and obsidian fragments
Post-depositional Features: Some root and insect disturbance
