Unit description: Sample 1, Flot No 3268, >4mm, 100%: Rather a large assemblage for a floor unit. Also, some large frags (about 7-8 cm) are atypical for a floor unit. Digested phalanges and gnawed vertebra. Some low temperature burning. All this suggests redeposited fill rather than primary floor deposit. It is possible that there was some mixing with the layers between floors. X2 consisted of a vertebra, sheep/goat mandible and a distal sheep radius. The mandible was recorded as the X find and the other 2 frags were noted (in comments) to have been found with it. NR 2003: More flotation found in 2003. This includes more of sample 1, same flot number, recorded completely. It looks pretty similar to the other part of the sample, minus the diagnostics. Looks like fill. Sample 7 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded as diagnostics and flot frags. This is a small sample, with fragments ranging up to 2 cm. Otherwise it is fairly similar to the rest, although with a particularly high proportion of digested bone (ca. 40%). The only diagnostics are also digested. Last record = 92
