Discussion: ´Crust´ of material for the most part overlying plaster floor surface though at South end it was overlying a semi-circular shaped layer (8077) - maybe associated with colour and charoal flecks suggest burning - but not in-situ - more like a dump of material or collapse? Jamie didn´t excavate here last year - need to check Greek records to see if they might help in interpretation of this layer

Recognition: reddish brown - purplish? Deposit - contrast with pale grey whitish plaster of floor around 

Definition: Clear edges

Consistency: Soft/friable 

Colour: Pale reddis brown 

Texture: Silt 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Moderate flecks and ocasional small fragments of charcoal, occasional small bone fragmentsö occasional small and medium daub fragmets, occasional small pot fragments 

Post-depositional Features: some animal burrowing - excavated remaining fill of burrows first 

Basal Boundary: very sharp - prominent - or distinct. Smooth, flat, smooth
