Discussion: Easy to recognize because it protruded above other units. It cut the midden in the east, so the border was very clear. The whole unit was excavated by trowel. The main purpose of the buttress was to support the wall. It was cut by two graves. There were also a thin ash layer with charcoal near the bottom and under that layer we found a foundation trench for the western wall

The unit is described as a pedestal in the data catagory. Buttress is not an option in the description.
