Discussion: Fragmented remains of plaster here and there on wall, concentrated in the middle.
This unit represents the remains of wall plaster once probably covering all of the east side of the wall F.3658. No plaster were found on the sides west of it - maybe they were never this furnished. It covered both brick and mortar courses preserved. It was lifted with trowel. Exposure (from 2012 and onwards) probably eroded these remains a lot. The remains were unpainted. 

 

Consistency: Firm; friable with trowel 

Colour: White 

Texture: Plaster, clay 

Bedding: Layered (wall plaster)

Post-depositional Features: Animal burrow 

Basal Boundary: Clear
