This wall was recognized in 2012. It has been eroded during the years, both from exposure since 2012 and closeness to surface (below top soil). The part of it forming the east wall of sp. 502 has later been cut to form a smaller entrance. It went across space 40 in N-S direction. It was not as thick as the northern (F3655) and southern (F3660) walls (which it was joined to) in space 40, and was not as old. This wall has been laid to form spaces 39 and 502 during a later phase, perhaps to formalise a building. It should be associated with wall F3659, and was probably laid at the same time. It was laid directly on the levelling infill u.21123 of the spaces.

During 2012 and on the presite plan (14/001), the southern part of F.3658 was seen as a separate feature. It should perhaps be seen so, but here it is included in this features, since they were part of the same wall. The bricks and mortar were considered as the same units as well for this reason. To me it is clear that the wall was built first, complete from N to S; by some reason it was then decided to cut it with cut u.21157 to create an entrance of some sort.
