Discussion: This unit was recognised after excavating building 128 and u.21180 to uncover the bottom of the wall. After excavatning the mortar layer above (u. 21506) we came to the brick layer. This unit (u.21505) lay above f.7599 (also a wall). It was excavated using small pick axe and trowel.
This layer consisted of hard compact brick that was 11cm in length.

Colour: Light brown 

Texture: Brick 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: - 

Post-depositional Features: Animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: Very sharp
