Unit 30144
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: mortar
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: mortar; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: Mortar used to join bricks within the wall F.3679 varies in its thickness. But more significant is the fact that orange clay mortar recorded in the lower part of the wall is different considering its texture than its counterpart registered in the upper section. Consequently, the mortar used within upper section is composed mostly of sandy-silt and differ distinctively from mentioned above pure clay component.
Not excavated in 2013.
