Area: South
Interpretive Categories: plaster edge of floor
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: white clay; Deposition: single
Dimensions: 0.34 x 0.23 x 0.06 m
Discussion: (3904) represents a small deposit of pure yellowish white plaster, which lay beneath the main part of the structure of the plaster lip/floor dividing F.289. It was suggested that it could have been a remnant of an earlier plaster floor (hence all the samples that were taken!) Alternatively it could just have been one of the variety of construction materials that were used in making F.289.
Recognition: A pure, yellowish white plaster layer, clearly different from the more mixed deposits above and around it.
