Discussion: Description:
Mortar type 2 in wall 1515. Bonds Bricks type 1 and 3 in wall 1515.
The mortar between the bricks appears to be very similar if not identical to the fill between this wall (1515) and the east wall of space 106 against which this wall is built. In some places the mortar and the infill is continuous. This appears to suggest that this wall was built after wall 96/58.
The mortar strongly resembles the composition of the 'midden' layers through which the construction cut for the wall was dug. Analysis by specialists may help to confirm this.
The mortar occasionally fills depressions in the brick below. Dry Sieve Information: Unknown if any dry seive
