Discussion: This is a midden located in westernmost part of the trench. Its western part was truncated during excavation in the 1960s. It was bordered from the W by remains of mudbrick wall 17607. It is a part of a larger midden deposit consisting also of units 17603,17609, 15887 and 17617. It was distinguished from them by slight diferences in consistency and colour.
The midden was placed directly on a floor 17618.Remains of an oven were also identified underneath S part of u. 15895.
This layer was dark and consisted of numerous organic inclusions.
