Category: Layer dug in 2008
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: Mortar
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Mortar in wall F.5051. Very ashy. Cut by grave F.2420.
2012: This mortar represents the mortar layers between the mudbrick courses of the northern wall of B.105 (F.5051). The mortar is firm and of a very sandy consistency. It is white to beige in color and has few inclusions. IS THERE A VOLUME ON THE 2012 SHEET?
TSK 27-08-2013:
The unit 16847 is the mortar layer of the wall F. 5051 on the northside of building 105 with the wall F. 3311 south of it. A section was cut into both walls, because the plaster layer unit 31234 was visible on top and seemed to divide the two walls. The section showed, that the plaster did not go deeper than 9 cm, below that, the layers of both walls were directly connected. From there on, the unit might be part of the double wall F. 3380. Unit 16847 has been recorded before, therefore no top levels, dimensions or samples were taken.
Unit 16848 mudbrick is included in volume.
