Unit 16848
Category: Layer dug in 2008
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: Mudbrick
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Bricks in wall F.5051. Very ashy. Mortar is 16847.
2012: This unit represents the mud brick layer of the Northern wall of B.105 (F.5051). The mud bricks of this wall are of a light gray silt with inclusions of bits of charcoal and lime, along with pottery, animal bone, stone, obsidian, and shell. The bricks seem relatively uniform in size but this is diffifuclt to say definitely as most of the wall remains unexcavated. Wall 5051 is fully bonded at its eastern edge with wall F.2424 (U.16850).
