Unit 20647

Category: Layer    dug in 2013

Area: North

Interpretive Categories: kerb

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: unpainted

Discussion: Not excavated in 2013. Excavated in 2014.

Kerb 3693 was very eroded by the time of its excavation (but was documented during the previous year). All of what remains has been associated with u. 20647.

Its removal shows that it was built on top of both plt. 3694 and plt. 3695 where 3694 reached the same height than 3695 (To keep a separation?).

U. 20647 sits on the plaster layer u. 30516 of plt. 3695 and at least two of the plaster layers of arbitrary layer u. 30525 of plt. 3694 (excavated as u. 21120).

At least two but probably not 4 layers as thought in 2013 when most of the arbitrary layer u. 30525 was excavated (with the exception of its part behind the kerb -> 21120) which means that the last one or two layers of u. 30525 were built after the kerb and were probably arbitrary (lost by erosion and burning?).
