Unit 2375
Category: Cluster dug in 1997
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: bucrania
Data Category Information: Location: building; Material: bucranium; Deposition: secondary deposition
Dimensions: 0.70 m N/S x 0.45 m E/W
Description: Fallen/collapsed/demolished bucrania lying against bin in S/W corner of mid-room of building 2.
Discussion: Fallen/collapsed/demolished bucrania lying against bin in S/W corner of mid-room of building 2. Horn core in quite good condition considering lying under collapse of wall 93. S end of horn core seems to be attached to layered wavy light grey plaster. This being lined through with layers of soot or ash, being dark grey in colour, plaster on walls in this vicinity appear not to have this lensing, so bucrania may have fallen of or been removed from an area near to or above a fireplace or lamp.
Execution: leaf and trowel
Condition: shaded
