Unit 2755
Category: layer dug in 1997
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: dump,floor
Data Category Information: Description: penning; Deposition: heterogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Dimensions: 1.30 m E/W x 1.40 m N/S x 150 mm deep
Discussion: Possible organic deposit (yellow/orange) intermixed with possible disturbed floor. Orange runs over/under and through the darker grey clay and white plasters that compose the floors content. The deposit is compound layered in part, suggesting a building up over time of this deposit. If yellow/orange proves to be coprolite then it is possible animals were kept in this room, disturbing the floors and intermixing their manure throughout it. Similar to fill (2757) which fills post depression (?) 2758 in this space.
