Unit 30743
Category: Cut dug in 2013
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: pit cut
Data Category Information: Description: pit
Discussion: This unit was recognized during the removal of fill u. 30733. It is a bell-shaped cut into Neolithic mud-brick, exactly a meter in diameter at the base. The function is extremely enigmatic. Moreover, this cut was difficult to distinguish due to the many other cutting events that disturbed the fill of pit f.7167 (f. 3986, f. 3987, f. 7164). In the end, it resembles similarly-shaped pit cuts in the other trenches of the TPC.
Shape: mostly circular
Sides: undercut on W edge, bells out slightly everywhere else
Base Break: gentle but roughly right-angled
Base: flat
Orientation: N/A
