Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick&mortar; Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 2.89 m N-S x 0.31 m E-W x c. 0.1 m thick
Discussion: Shaving off top brick and mortar of wall 267 in order to reveal a clear layer of either. Some patches s of plaster where wall 267 meets up with wall 286, SW corner in space 112. Base of layer consists of a reasonably clear layer of bricks, but in most cases accentuated by cracks in the wall. Wall was initially (1997) over dug, further excavation revealed a curved shape (see sketch) well defined in the North section of space 112. Wall 267 does not appear to be bonded to wall 286, based on clear gap (trowel blade thick) in junction, also 267 bricks continue past 286's West end. But at lower part of wall, c.30 cm from top, bricks changes in colour and walls 286 and 267 are bonded (see brick colour description unit 3727).
