Definition: Fairly continuous over surface of wall 484, although stops around edges of crawl hole and overlaps plaster within crawl hole (4452)

Texture: clayey - limey, but dry 

Bedding: layered, at least 2 layers (visible) 3mm thick each with slightly more grey/white plaster packing between

Post-depositional Features: cracks 

Basal Boundary: Prominent, distinct, anthropic/constructional, fairly smooth
