Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/2/2007
Entry: U14239 (pitgraveburrow) is now dead (thankfully) and the underlying area has merged with neighbouring U14213. Today I was mattocking there and encountered a hard clayish layer, kind of brown with white flecks, and dentable but not easily removed. So dug... click here for more...

Name: ER
Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/2/2007
Entry: Pretty cold day today, everyone fit and working outside in the trenches. Windy as any day. In the NW corner, Ros and Naomi carried on taking both the spit 14213 down and worked on the soft dark soil 14218 which seems to extend further N and S today. So... click here for more...

Name: Alex Pryor
Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/3/2007
Entry: This diary entry covers both yesterday and today. Yesterday was spent in largely the same way as the day before, taking down the large unit 14213. A lot of people came into this area of the trench to work on it at this point, and so the whole area was goi... click here for more...

Name: ER
Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/3/2007
Entry: Full team today, weather not as cool as yesterday, very agreeable if not for the wind gusts throwing sandy silty loam into our eyes. While some teams are shifted around too much at the moment, others have to stay too long in the same frustrating corne... click here for more...

Entry: I see a data entry field called "sketch name" here on my data entry screen, but do not know how to fill that in and how we should name our daily sketches. Full team today, with PFB and Gen working in their quarry trench 7 with the four workmen. Afte... click here for more...

Name: Maxime Brami
Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/5/2007
Entry: Is it just an impression or the West Mound team is the only team to write in the diary section? I have asked the Stanford team whether they did that and they didn’t seem to even know what I was talking about and I don’t see many entries from people of oth... click here for more...

Name: Naomi Christie
Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/5/2007
Entry: U13783 : I was exceptionally frustrated on site today. I had no idea what I was digging. There is a area which Maxime and Katie H had begun to dig and I came in when Katie got frustrated with it and moved to Trench 7. Maxime doesn't mind it as far as I... click here for more...

Name: Alex Pryor
Team: West-Buffalo/Camb
Date: 7/5/2007
Entry: Today was an interesting day, as I was able to expose and dig the 8th skeleton of my archaeological career. This one was in much better nick than any of the others, and the bones were very robust, meaning cleaning round them was easy. In the end grave fea... click here for more...
