Discussion: Floor across SE part of building 97 incorporating small rectangular oven or hearth moulding next to the long ladder scar. The floor hearth F.3517 which was built on top of it and scorched it through its use. (18679) stops along the edge of moulded corner space, when might have originally been a bin with raised moulding (18665). Abutting eastern wall F.4088. The floor abuts both platform F.3460 to the west and bench F.3456 to the north. 

 

Recognition: solid continuous surface with oven moulding 

Definition: clear 

Execution: trowel, brush 

Condition: hot 

Consistency: firm 

Colour: varies from pale yellowish brown to ashy grey and reddened 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: composite 

Inclusions: charcoal flecks 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows, cracking, cut by 18674 

Basal Boundary: overlying anotner solid continuous floor (18680)
