Unit 20096
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Makeup layer on platform 3442
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: pise-like; Deposition: heterogeneous
Description: Unit is a friable eroded and heavily degraded make up to platform F 3442.
Discussion: This make up layer appears to sit on extremely thin and eroded plaster. Therefore this layer was taken out as a group of 4 layers (2 very thin plaster and 2 makeup layers). These removed layers appeared to lap up onto platform F. 3441 and the molding along the S edge of the platform. Under the removed layers, appears to be an eroded plaster floor along the S edge of the platform (no unit #) and two plaster caps along the N edge where the floor seems to be eroded away (U. 21701 and 21702) over possible burial fills (u.21704 and 21706) and cuts (u.21705 and 21707) near the N wall F 2533.
