Description: (not fully excavated 1997: no stratigraphic relationship) 

Discussion: Several courses (c. 4) of wall 267 removed at end of 1997 season. Taken down to top of platform F, despite my difficulties in seeing courses while drawing the section, the bricks and mortar came off beautifully in perfect layers. Bricks generally c. 6-8 cm thick, and are of variable lengths 0.68-1.00 m long. Mortar c. 2-4 cm thick, very difficult to tell in section which is which.
Samples not taken this season as wall NOT FULLY EXCAVATED and flotation has already wound down. 

Execution: trowel and handpick 

Condition: dry and nice 

Consistency: firm and compact 

Colour: 10 YR 7/2 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: < 1 % charcoal flecks 

Post-depositional Features: mole-rat hole, some fine rootlets 

Basal Boundary: not there yet!
