Discussion: Sub-floor make-up/packing of platform F32; eastern end truncated by F22 bin wall. Lies directly over darker, ashy fill which seems to spread across while building. In parts these rise through layer 1434, and appear like 'pits' = 1434-however 1434 overlies them which suggests the whole lower layer was laid as a series of dumps, not always levelled, and then 1434 placed on top fairly soon after- I.e. before the lower layer could settle horizontally. Thin layer actually extend across the ?whole of space 71 is raised where the platform is, and levelled where the floors are suggesting quite strongly the platform was planned with the floors etc. Page 2: Obsidian pieces X18-20- all lie on interface with ashy/midden layer below- in fact X20 is almost certainly from that layer rather than this- the orange packing 1434 is generally very 'clean' of finds, and much of the material probably derives from 'contamination' from layer below.
