Discussion: This unit was the mortar course underlying the brick course u21144 in wall F3658 which was the east wall of spaces 39 and 502. It was dug with pick axe and sampled. Even if the rest was sieved few finds were noted.

Colour: Yellowish brown 

Texture: Silty clay 

Bedding: Massive
