Dimensions: 0.55 m E-W x max N-S 0.30 m, min 0.20 m x 30 mm thick

Discussion: Unusually sandy and probably significant; basal lining to F.I 82. Heavily disturbed at back by animal burrow and patches to south & Southeast show signs of scorching. Appears to be make -up / packing in part of the construction of the F.I as opposed to a lining because of the material composition & depth which was thicker , up to 50 mm thick at back. this seem to make this deposit level as the underlying was sloping.
The use of this material must also be significant in that its hardly rubified + consequently acts as an insulator to the subsequent firings.
