Unit 3764
Category: layer dug in 1998
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: floor
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: non-white laid floor; Deposition: multiple
Dimensions: 0.45 m E-W x 0.35 m N-S width; 0.01 m thick
Discussion: Unit identified during excavation of (3763), continued on from (3763) but change to dark brown material that came up in larger fragments than (3763) also. Could not establish relationship between (3763) and (3764), but decided distinct enough to justify separate unit. Presumably may signify material being trampled in as that part of the floor, comparison of samples with (3763) results of sampling may give a more specific interpretation.
Recognition: Recognised during excavation of (3763), continued on from (3763), could establish no relationship between them, but decided distinct enough from (3763/3751) that would separate into another unit.
