Entry: Today I worked with both Jana and Maxime to try and define the borders of the disturbance labeled as unit 16861. One of the main goals of doing this was to try and outline the edges and corners of the walls of spaces 340 and 341. I worked mainly near the ... click here for more...

Entry: Smooth workflow today. Maxime, Katie and me tried to find the borders of the disturbed area 16861, which turned out to be much larger than we thought. Its borders are not visible everywhere, but I think we got it quite well by feeling where the soil would... click here for more...

Entry: Today I moved to space 340 and had to leave Katie behind in 341. I drew space and walls as far as I could be sure to get the limits of the units, what means that I left some parts of the walls for when they are excavated and clearly visible. Then I began ... click here for more...

Entry: Another great day at T5! Weather was pleasant, archaeology fun. AWH and JJW continued 16898 in space 310. There is a very interesting cluster of big potsherds (unit 17208) abutting the plaster 13726 at the E wall 2427. looks as if people have swept stu... click here for more...

Entry: First cleaned the walls of my space 340 ( unit 16880) to make sure that I will not undercut them. It is the same story as in space 341: Phytoliths sitting on the wall face, therefore the fill nicely peeling off. I could follow the plaster quite some 15cm ... click here for more...

Entry: Everbody seemed a bit tired today, even the lovely finds (e.g. a bead from unit 16880 continued by JMR - space 340) and a potstand from unit 16898 (space 310, continued by AWH) couldn't make us sing and dance in the trench. Work progressed much faster now... click here for more...
