Discussion: This deposit was primarily a packing/ levelling layer within the walls of this structure. Initially it appeared to be the earliest floors, but there was only a skim of floors in patches, best preserved in the SW centre. The base of this packing material coincided with the base of the south wall and runs below the platform to the west. It was similar to the underlying infill of the building to the extent that it may have been slightly overdug towards the west, this was due to following a natural break in the horizon i.e. it peeled off relatively well.
The fact that this layer bottomed at same horizon as the wall to the south suggests that the wall was constructed first and then this levelling/packing layer deposited.
