Entry: Depressing to start every diary entry with an apology for lack of entries, so I won't. Today TEB and MIB took down a room fill, 16896. We also found a cluster of pots which is now 16899 in the North-Western corner. We also sorted out the buttresses so we ... click here for more...

Entry: Now that we got down to the top levels of walls almost eveywhere in T5, more and more people in the trench get their individual space to dig. RBW and JJW, however, had to stay in today. Good to have AWH to tend the Total Station! The shading shed is reall... click here for more...

Entry: Today Eva and I were investigating the plaster along walls 5051 and 2424. It is pretty strange as it apears to slope inward on both profiles and therefore to undercut itself. PFB wants it to be a ceiling and has decided a meepmeep hole tom dug out in the ... click here for more...

Entry: Everbody seemed a bit tired today, even the lovely finds (e.g. a bead from unit 16880 continued by JMR - space 340) and a potstand from unit 16898 (space 310, continued by AWH) couldn't make us sing and dance in the trench. Work progressed much faster now... click here for more...

Entry: First day of the last week, lots of problems solved today! As we got excellent results in defining the architectural pattern this year, we decided to not push ourselves down to floors etc. where we might hit a lot of interesting and time-consuming structu... click here for more...

Entry: Today SRW and I continued to remove concentrations of thick chalky fill from space 342. Having recorded a lens of an ashy grey material on the previous day (unit 18310) we were able to define this further. As a result we believed that unit 18310 represent... click here for more...

Entry: Continued in space 342 with OMV, removing a curious grey, ashy fill (18310) that had been discerned yesterday along the eastern edge of (arbitrary layer) fill 18309. Particular caution was exercised due to the presence above the north-western area of 1831... click here for more...
