Entry: JFB, JHB, PTW and I continued removing fill 16976 to expose floor 16977. We have now uncovered it in the whole of Space 449, the eastern half of Space 450 and parts of Space 452. 16977 in Space 449 seems to be a layer of floor (no unit number yet) overlap... click here for more...

Entry: In Space 341, EUR and KTX removed fill layer 16973 and continued scraping the remainders of fill from the walls. In places it is difficult to distinguish fill from wall, especially with buttress F. 5057. Layer 16980 was not yet started. It contains an ash... click here for more...

Entry: Today we reached an ash layer that is surprisingly found in both western sections of building 98. There is though, a disagreement on the chronological equivalence of the two layers of the two room sections. JMR suggests that probably the layers are not co... click here for more...

Entry: In preparation of the removal of Buildings 106 and 107, PTW and KTX continued cleaning them from backfill remains. We also decided to record them with 3D photography tomorrow before starting to take out walls. It is ideal that we can record the buildings ... click here for more...

Entry: EUR continued work in Space 341. IF came out to help with the cluster of unfired pottery 16989, which is a pile of large and small fragments in the NW corner of the room, very densely together, on top of each other. Their position suggests these fragments... click here for more...

Date: 7/24/2012
Entry: JHB continued working on cluster 16981, following it into Space 341; it ends in the doorway between Spaces 450 and 341, though – the cluster therefore is located north and northwest of buttress F.5057. In the doorway he uncovered a dense layer of phytolit... click here for more...

Entry: We finished yesterday the excavation of unit 16980, which was also the last layer within the space 341. We reached the floor there and for the first time we have floors in the West Mound (building 98). In most of the walls the floor seemed to enter within... click here for more...
