Entry: Came back to Catal in the night of the 19th to the 20th after seven more months of travel and an exhausting summer term. Now, after two days, I start to get adjusted to the crowded yet mostly anonymous life here again. Yesterday was a bit of a chaotic ... click here for more...

Entry: Day 9, Good and bad yesterday, thankfully in the right parts. We had a productive day of digging, and from my vantage point high up on the NW corner of T5 it looks like the team's hit a pretty good stride. People seemed less tense in and out of the tre... click here for more...

Entry: Pretty hot day today which (especially after lunch which I plan to skip again as I did last year) made my brain work very slow (if at all). There is a pit disturbing the room fill in the SW corner of the trench that we had uncovered after the removal ... click here for more...

Date: 7/28/2008
Entry: Today was a bit frustrating, because we were still working on drawing the large section of walls on the northern part of the trench. The reason it was frustrating is because we were constantly having to ask others what was going on with the different wall... click here for more...

Entry: Excavator's log, some Thursday. First thing I did today was to take out the finds of unit 15172 that had remained in the space for the foto. X1 is a large grinding stone, that had lain on it's belly. As I started scraping all the bumps away that had held... click here for more...

Entry: Excavator's log, stardate 14082010. Did I say something about an important new job in my last log entry? As it turns out the boss changed his mind sometime between Thursday 3:00 pm and today 7:00 am. Sadly he forgot the part about the changing of mind an... click here for more...

Entry: PTW removed the possible installation F.3325 today (the "bukranium"). It sits on a strange bump of plaster, mortar and mud brick (?), but does not seem to be an installation, as I believe - rather a coincidence. He also found the continuation of the floor... click here for more...
